ONE TO ONE LESSONS
If you are looking for a safe and supportive environment in which to discover and develop your singing skills, you can be assured that you have come to the right place when you book a lesson at Anna Leigh Vocal Studios. We can guarantee that in your first singing lesson you’ll get training that you won’t find anywhere else in the North East! This may include:

A recorded CD of your first lesson to practise along to at home, every lesson thereafter is recorded, students are asked to bring a memory stick to take their recording home. This makes learning faster and more effective. You can listen back to your recording and hear your improvement.

A personalised vocal assessment of your voice so you know exactly what is happening physically when you sing and why, explained clearly taking into account the age and and experience level of the student.

Structured vocal exercises tailored to your voice.

New vocal exercises every lesson based on how your voice advances from previous lessons.

We will work on songs that you want to be able to sing in any genre you choose. Including songs you find difficult and need help on.

Help and advice on performing and performance technique.

Advice on the music industry and how to progress as a singer and performer.

Advice and tips for students who are interested in songwriting and in developing their own music.

Opportunities to be involved in our two yearly shows, open mic and recording studio experiences.
Continuing lessons will be very similar in structure to your first singing lesson, but as you make progress, the vocal exercises will change to account for this. As you gain more confidence as a singer, we’ll be able to work on more challenging songs and constantly refine your voice in the process. We’ll work with you to help you develop your own personal style and personality as a singer.

online LESSONS
Our lessons are also available remotely online. These lessons work in a very similar way to normal “in person” lessons and all you need is a good microphone and camera set up on your computer. We are very excited to be able to offer this service as it means you can have lessons from wherever you are!
Lessons in person are always better where possible, but if travelling is difficult for you then this is the answer. Payment for these lessons can be made using PayPal or bank transfer. RECORDING STUDIO VISITS
Would you like to experience recording your voice at a professional recording studio?
Throughout the year, Broadwater Studios open their doors to Anna Leigh’s students to professionally record one song. The song will be recorded by producers & mixed to top quality. Broadwater Studios are situated in Gateshead very close to Newcastle, Sunderland & Durham!

Students will rehearse during their private lessons prior to recording. At the recording studio, the students will have a 45 minute slot in the recording booth to sing their song. Their song will then be mixed and students can relax knowing that they will be tutored throughout the entire recording experience.
ALVS CONCERTS & CHARITY EVENTS
We run two concerts a year, one in the summer and one at Christmas. We usually have around 28 students per show, with a mixture of ages abilities and genres of music. These shows are all about getting up and having a go regardless of how experienced you are! We want to help students not just progress in their performance and singing abilities but their confidence in singing and within themselves!
We have great fun at the shows and our audiences are always very supportive and enjoy watching the students progress! We started these shows in 2012 because our students wanted a performance to work towards. We have found they have become 'more than just a show' but a networking event for our students too. Some have even described the atmosphere as like a family event and we love to see how supportive they are of each other.
We have also organised a range of charity events from an afternoon tea with songs for Marie Curie, to a karaoke night for Peary House for the blind. We also regularly donate lessons as prizes for charity raffles and events to help fundraising initiatives in our local community.

Book A Lesson:
You can make a booking for a lesson with Anna Leigh or Emma, by first contacting the studio on the telephone or email displayed to the right, or by clicking here.
Payment can be made after booking, by using the PayPal buttons for the appropriate teacher above (for single lessons only), or via internet banking / by card over the phone. If you wish to pay by Cash, you can do so in person four days before.
All lessons booked, must be paid for in advance at least 4 days before the lesson date to confirm the booking. If you have any questions regarding payment, please ask when you book. You can also find out more details on our FAQ's page.
Prices include the cost of your singing lessons being recorded. Please make sure that you read the Terms & Conditions at the foot of this page, or on our FAQ's page fully, before making a booking.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
We’ve just brought in some new T&C’s to make sure the Studio is running as smoothly as possible.
1. Booking: Once a lesson is booked, advance payment must be received within 4 days in order to secure that slot.
2. Payment: Payment can be made in person by cash, by BACS (details to be given) or online via Paypal. Any Paypal fees are to be covered by the student. We do not accept block booking payments via PayPal.
3. Cancellation/Rescheduling: To cancel or reschedule a lesson, the student must email annalmiddleton@hotmail.co.uk or telephone (leaving a voicemail if necessary) on 07783418280. Please do not contact us to cancel or rearrange a lesson via text message or forms of social media. Adequate notice of at least 48 hours must be given otherwise the lesson will be forfeit.
4. Adequate notice for cancellations: This must be received at least 48 hours before the lesson was due to take place. This is for canceling and rescheduling lessons.
5. Teacher cancellation: Lessons cancelled/rescheduled by the teacher will be re-arranged at a time mutual to both parties. We will endeavour to give as much notice as possible in the event this occurs.
6. Timing: Teaching ends 5 minutes before the end of the lesson to allow for the conclusion of the lesson and to burn the recording of the lesson onto CD or memory stick. Please note we only burn recordings to CD in the first lesson, thereafter students must bring a memory stick to take their recording away. We do not email or keep recordings. Parents must stay within the studio grounds whilst children under 16 years are having lessons. Parents must arrive at the studio door 5 minutes before the end of the lesson to collect the child, this is all in the interest of safety.
7. Attendance: Please try not to arrive earlier than 5 minutes before your scheduled lesson to avoid disruption of the previous lesson.
8. Lateness/Failure to attend: If you arrive late, your lesson will still end at the scheduled time. Such loss of time will not be made up at another time. If you miss your lesson slot entirely it will not be rescheduled or refunded.
9. Lesson Expiry: Individual lessons (including gift vouchers) will expire if not used within 3 months of receipt of payment for that lesson. Block booking lessons will expire if not used within 6 months of receipt of payment for that package.
10. Refunds: Anna Leigh vocal studios will not offer a refund on any lessons, including those cancelled or missed.
11. Discretion: Discretion is held to waive any or all of the above stipulations in exceptional circumstances.
12. Recordings: Recordings are only to be used by the student and not to be shared or uploaded online.
